We are waiting to find out what color Abigail will be once she sheds out her baby coat as she has white hairs throughout the bay baby coat.  Will she be a roan or a grey or ???  At the time of submitting her registration papers, it appears that she will be a grey.

With spring approaching, we are waiting for Abigail to shed out her winter coat.  There are many white hairs hidden under her winter coat.  The white hair is on her face and over her entire body.  Below her knees and hocks remains black along with her mane and tail.  This seems like waiting for a flower to bloom and share its beautiful color.

It is now the Spring of 2010.  Abigail is finally shedding her winter coat to reveal more gray hair than bay hair.  The gray is now all over, including her lower legs.  She is sociable, nearly always nickering when she see us.  As all of the fillies do, she loves a good scratch.

In January of 2011 Abigail has reached just over 15 hands in height.  With her winter coat she seems to be darker in color, yet, if you look at her undercoat, it is nearly all grey.  Again, we wait for another spring to see what color she will be this year.  Abigail is an athletic filly who is full of personality.  She is often the lead in encouraging the other fillies to run and play.  There is a large mound of dirt in the current turnout area which she loves to run to the top of and play "queen of the hill".  It is so funny to watch!  She runs to the top of the dirt pile with head and ears up surveying all that lies below her.  Then with a buck, she leaps down the side of the dirt pile and takes off running.  She does this several times before she bores of the game and returns to the hay.

Skills:  Halters and leads easily.  She is easy to catch in the field as she is often the first filly to come investigate why you are there.  She is learning to stand to be shown In-Hand.  She stands to be groomed, for the farrier and the veterinarian.

Personality:  Abigail is an outgoing, energetic girl who loves to run.  She runs simply for the joy of running!  Abby is a gorgeous mover and has inherited her mother's sweet disposition.

Athleticism:  Abigail has correct conformation and is well balanced.  Romping and playing she exudes the athleticism which is derived from a well proportioned horse.

Parelli Horsenality:  Abigail has characteristics which are primarily of a Left-Brain Extrovert.  She is friendly, playful and smart.

Nickname:  Abby
