Skills:  Stands quietly for the farrier, veterinarian, in the cross ties, to be groomed/bathed, clipped (except his ears) and have his mane and tail braided.  He is easily haltered whether in the barn or in the field. Loads easily onto the trailer and trailers quietly.  He has been shown five times in the bridle.

Personality:  Hamilton has a kind heart and enjoys the company of people.  Quite often he is the first one to greet us at the pasture gate and frequently will follow us around the field just for company.  He learns quickly and once he understands what you want  and is confident, he is quite willing to please.  He is sensible, yet, will require patience in his new owner as they must be able to build Hamilton's confidence in order for him to participate in learning.  Hamilton politely takes treats, which he adores.

Athleticism:  Hamilton will grow into a substantially built horse with good bone.  He has lovely gaits, freedom of movement and has demonstrated his ability to jump.

Parelli Horsenality:  We feel that Hamilton fits into the Introvert Category and depending on his confidence level can be either left brain or right brain in his responses.

Nickname:  Hambone.  My intent was to name Hamilton for my uncle who had recently passed.  My uncle had two middle names and for some unknown reason I thought that one was Hamilton.  Imagine my embarrassment, when my aunt thanked me for my thoughtfulness and informed me that my uncle's middle name was Hammond.  My uncle had nicknames for everyone in the family.  He called his oldest son, Hambone.  In an effort to redeem myself, Hambone, became Hamilton's nickname.
