BellaDonna Mahogany, is by the CBHS Licensed
stallion, IdleHour Yorktown, located in Pennsylvania, USA out of
a Forest mare imported from the United Kingdom. Mahogany
has been shown in the Purebred Cleveland Bay In-Hand
Classes at Hunter Shows and In-Hand Classes at Dressage Shows,
both as a yearling and a two year old. In the dressage shows her
scores were in the 60th percentiles. In the Hunter shows
she always placed in the top three of the class.
In 2009, Mahogany was not shown as she was to be
bred. Unfortunately, the breeding did not take. Currently,
Mahogany will be started under saddle with plans to breed her
again 2010 for a 2011 foal. At nearly three and one-half
years of age, Mahogany stands at 15.2 hands, has 9.0 inches of
bone and weighs 1100 pounds.
In 2010, Mahogany was bred by artificial
insemination with frozen semen from a licensed purebred
Cleveland Bay stallion,
Borderfame Prince Charming. The foal is expected in
March 2011.
In 2011, Mahogany gave birth to a filly,
Epiphanybay Spirit. Unfortunately, the filly passed away
at two days of age. Mahogany is being bred by artificial
insemination with frozen semen to the British Equestrian
Federation Champion stallion, Future Illusion.
