Epona's Pedigree
Olddominion Epona at four years old, 2010
Epona is one of our foundation broodmares. She is by the
Quality Approved Premium stallion, Tregoyd Journeyman CBHS 2499, who
received the Reserve Championship at the King George V Cup in 2003
prior to being imported from the United Kingdom in 2004. The King
George V Cup is an invitational only competition in the United
Kingdom for Purebred Cleveland Bay Stallions registered with the
Cleveland Bay Horse Society.
Epona was shown in hand as a two year old
prior to being bred. In the dressage in-hand classes, she
received scores in the 60th percentile. At three and
one-half years of age, she stands at 15.3 3/4 hand with 9.0
inches of bone and weighs 1100 pounds.
In 2009, Epona gave birth to
Epiphanybay
Constance. As well, Princess, one of our Thoroughbred
mares, gave birth to an embryo transfer foal out of Epona,
Epiphanybay Independence.
In 2010, Epona was bred by live cover to a
licensed purebred Cleveland Bay stallion,
Ramblers Richard
Lionheart. The foal is expected in March 2011.
In 2011, Epona gave birth to a filly,
Epiphanybay Serendipity.
